For most of you this will be your first Belles Parents Team Meeting - Welcome! What you will need to bring will be the following items and information:
Our first event will be on March 19th with Dr. Anthony Pappas coming in to work with our players on their skills and intensity. We will be at Springside School from 9 am to 12noon for ages 9-13 and from 12:30 pm to 3:30pm for the older teams.
Our first team event will be the Belles One-Day Round Robin on March 25th which will be played at various sites in the Philadelphia area. The second team event will be on April 1 as teams will go to either Fairfax, VA or Newtown, PA to compete in tournaments. The older teams will be attended the event in Fairfax, VA while the younger teams can choose between the events.
The Middle Atlantic AAU tournaments will be held in the immediate region Ask your coach what weekend that will be. You should also think about Memorial Day weekend. There are a lot of events out there where the teams 13u and older will attend. The choice to play that weekend is up to you (the parents) and the coach.
The total cost for the Belles for all the younger teams from 9u to 13u will be $675 and will include all their equipment, aau card, practice times and 9 events covered by the Belles. Please note that your second payment of $200 will be due on April 2nd during the second Bellles Skills Workout.
After the Middle Atlantic AAUs there are a number of weekends where there are many events throughout the region - your coach will present you with a total playing schedule and cost factor. Most other organizatons hide their total costs behind low enty memberships but do not notify you of the total playing cost for the entire season. We have asked our coaches to share this with you. To keep costs down, the Belles have a tradition of playing in weekend events only on one of the days (usually Saturdays), playing 3 games in a day instead of 4 in a weekend. This allows no stayovers (unless a parent or team wishes to) and keeps costs down. We will have other options for events where there it will be an overnight event like Hershey at the end of our season - June 28-July 3.
We've asked our coaches to use emails as much as possible to inform you about your team plans. Do not hesitate to email me if you have questions or concerns.
Thnak you for joining the best program in the Eastern United States.
