The Philadelphia Belles returned to the winners circle again in 2008 as Belles 16-Lynch captured the program's 73rd MA District Championship. In 2007 the Belles enjoyed a great season finishing in the top four in practically all age groups but did not claim a championship for the first time since 1984. The 2006 season was a rebounding one as we dominated in the middle age groups capturing three MA Championships and placing 2nd in the 12-U and 3rd in the 16-U division. The 14s and 15s easily took their championship games while the Belles won the inagural 9-U division. This was the best showing of any program in the Middle Atlantic. In 2005 won both 11u and 13u crowns and becomes the first program in MAA history to qualify three teams (16s) in one age group for AAU Nationals. The 2004 Belles placed three teams into the finals and won all three championships. In 2003 the competed in seven of nine divisions taking the 18s followed by a double-victory in the 16s, finishing 1-2, a first in MAA history and then the 15u and 14u titles. Below are the results from 1992 to the present. There have been only seven AAU National Champions in the 28 years of the MAA. The 2002 Fencor 12-U, the 1997 Comets 12-U, the 1993 Philadelphia Belles 16-U and 13-U, the 1982 Hawks 12-U and the 1979 Philadelphia Belles 18-U. The list below shows top four places from 1994 to the present. Between 1976 and 1992 only the age-group winner attended the AAU Nationals. In 1993 the MAA sent multiple finishers to the AAU Nationals depending on number of teams entered per age group. In 1997 the AAU expanded to the present nine age groups. The best finish for any program was 1998 when the Phila. Belles captured 6 MAA championships in one year. Second best was four titles for Fencor in 2001, 2003, Belles in 2000, 1994 and 1992. The Belles have won 73 MAA Championships in the past 33 years.
