Angels - Belles form Sister Club Program

England's premier girls basketball program - the Haringey Angels joins with the Philadelphia Belles in a trans-Atlantic sister club program, the first of its kind for a United States girls basketball club.

The Haringey Angels directors Dan Bowmaker and Phil Hayfield met with Philadelphia Belles director Mike Flynn in London on February 17, 2007 and concluded a historical alliance to create a unique sister-club program that will cover co-program improvement, trans-atlantic competition, coaching exchanges, player skill development. and educations opportunities.

The Belles and Angels are presently in the development stages of holding a Greater London Coaches Clinic in the fall to coinside with the 2007 NBA Live European training camps and competitions. Some of the Belles coaching staff and former Belles players now in the NCAA university and WNBA coaching ranks will be invited to be a part of the Belles delegation to speak at this inaugural event.
