A seclect group of Belles players who optioned to go on this trip to London for the President's Day weekend trip of sightseeing and competition came away victorious with a 60-57 victory over the Haringey Angels in the Hockney section of London. The Angels were coming off the English National 16-under championship game where they finished as the runnerup to Manchester Mystics.

The Belles started off the game with quick baskets by Moira Anthony to jump to a quick lead. The Angels fought back but more shots by Kristen Fuery and Ryann Fiascki put the Belles into a 31-25 halftime lead. More baskets by Fuery and Fiascki opened the lead to 13 points heading into the final quarter. The Angels went with a taller lineup and closed the game by the end of the quarter to tie it with two minutes to go. Kelly Scull hit two of her 10 foul shots in the final 20 seconds to seal the victory.
